Psychodynamic Therapy in Leicester & Online

A calm, unhurried space where overwhelming thoughts and feelings do not have to be faced alone.

We can reach a point where familiar ways of coping no longer seem to work. Therapy offers a calm, thoughtful space to begin making sense of experiences that feel overwhelming or difficult to understand, at a pace that feels manageable.

“I felt safe when everything about some of my recent experiences had been unsafe, and eaten away at my sense of identity.”

Client reflection

“She helped me to say the unsayable and to connect with feelings I hadn’t realised I had buried.”

Client reflection

“Her considerate and kind-natured approach really made my experience less like what I’d imagined therapy to be.”

Client reflection

“I felt I was able to open up to her in a way that I have been able to do with only very few people.”

Client reflection

“I slowly but surely began to understand what was happening to me and why.”

What brings people to therapy?

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes the difficulty is clear and immediate; sometimes it is harder to name – a recurring pattern, a loss of confidence, a difficult relationship, or simply an overwhelming feeling of disconnection. Therapy offers space to think about these experiences, and perhaps most importantly, a way to relieve the burden of carrying them alone.

Beginning therapy

In our initial phone conversation or emails, we can discuss what might happen when we first meet, and the kind of things we might talk about.  We can also discuss the differences between in-person or online appointments, and choose which feels best for you.
