Website Privacy Policy

My Commitment to Confidentiality

I understand that trust is the foundation of therapeutic work. I am personally committed to protecting your privacy and confidentiality. Unlike large commercial entities, I do not track your individual browsing habits, build marketing profiles on your health concerns, or share your data with third parties. My use of technology is minimal and strictly controlled to ensure your anonymity.

Use of Google Ads and Minimal Data Collection

I use Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords) solely to ensure that individuals searching for mental health support can find my practice. To verify that these advertisements are functioning correctly (e.g., confirming that a click on an ad successfully leads to my website), I have implemented the Google Tag with the highest level of privacy restrictions.

My “No-Cookie” Configuration

I have configured my website to deny all advertising and analytics storage by default. This means:

  • No Tracking Cookies: When you visit my site, no advertising or analytics cookies are placed on your device by Google. You do not need to click “Accept” on a banner because I do not request permission to track you.
  • Cookieless Pings: Instead of using cookies, my site sends anonymous, “cookieless” signals to Google. These signals simply confirm that a visit occurred but **do not identify you personally** or link the visit to your specific identity.
  • No Personal Profiles: Google cannot use your visit to my site to build a profile of your health interests or show you retargeted ads elsewhere, as I have explicitly disabled these features.

What Data Is Shared?

In this configuration, the only data potentially processed by Google is limited, aggregated, and non-identifiable:

  • Search Terms: I can see aggregated reports of the general search terms people typed into Google *before* clicking my ad (e.g., “therapist for anxiety”). I cannot see who typed them.
  • Click and Visit Counts: I receive basic counts of how many people clicked my ads and landed on my site to ensure my advertising budget is being used effectively.
  • No IP Logging for Tracking: While your IP address is briefly transmitted to load the page, my configuration ensures Google truncates (anonymizes) this data immediately, preventing it from being used to identify you or your precise location.

What I Do not Collect or Share

To avoid any doubt, as a solo practitioner, I do not collect or share:

  • Your name, email address, or contact information via advertising tools.
  • Your specific browsing history on my site (e.g., which specific service pages you read).
  • Any data regarding your mental health status, diagnosis, or treatment needs.
  • Data used for “remarketing” (showing you ads again after you leave my site).

Your Rights and Controls

You have full control over your data when visiting my site:

Default Privacy: You do not need to take any action to maintain your privacy; my site is configured for maximum privacy by default.

  • Browser Settings: You can further protect your privacy by configuring your browser to block third-party cookies, though my site does not attempt to set them.
  • Google Controls: You may review or opt out of Google’s broader advertising preferences at any time via [Google Ads Settings](https://adssettings.google.com).
